The Rodent Awards - We Are Win

Oh man, we’ve won an award. A proper one, like - not any of that 100% virus free downloadable game award rubbish. A real award thingy. And one we didn’t have to pay for at any stage, unless you count the amount of time spent polishing the game more than I polish my penis (which is often,k).

Yes, the very first Rodent Awards took place “downstairs at The Royal George” on the 25th January, attended by some fairly well known game folks from Capcom, Introversion, Sega and things - generally, companies you might have heard of somewhere down the line.

Introversion may have walked away with 2 awards, but the Jet Set Willy Online team walked away with a massive 1. Which according to my calculations makes us only slightly less loved than Introversion, but just as good as all those companies that do this thing for a living who only came away with 1 award. If not better, because our mums told us we’re special.

So special, that we never turned up. Ok, I wanted to turn up - but things in Chez Bob as they are, its not entirely feasible for me to go legging off to Nodnol at the drop of a hat to go and do coke and whores with the gaming elite. No matter how attractive a proposition that may be.

The Award for Rodent Moment of the Year: Jet Set Willy Online.

Fabulous. I love you all. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I’d like to thank my mother for inventing Rock And Roll, and all of Rodentia for being ace and encouraging this madness in the first place, and of course Stu, Scott, Smila and everyone involved in making JSWO a little bit special.

We can now proudly say “The Award Winning Jet Set Willy Online” with a perfectly straight face. Because we won an award. Proper.
