STomps

I’m very happy to say that Team MFOR has now increased by a grand total of 1 person, with the arrival of Gary Pinkett into the fold who’ll be pulling the game out of the generic glowy vector mire over the course of the development period.

We’ve been chatting about it for a week or so now on whether its worth combining our efforts, and so - this morning we figured “fuck it, lets do it”. I’ve thrown over the details of whats needed to get level one up and running as I’ve already gathered together the patterns and wave structures ready to lay down.

Best description of the style we’re aiming for: Monty Pythons Vertical Parodius.

Of course, the best bit is I can sit back for a bit now and concentrate on some other stuff (like the promised by the end of the month under the pain of death final G-Force), my writing and the fucking huge RR upgrade that we’re in the middle of whilst Gary gets his doodly pens out.

Whilst I’m sure I could come up with something that looks good enough that I’d be comfortable charging cash for, I’m pretty confident that with Gary’s input it’ll end up looking like nothing else out there. In case you’re wondering - that little pic above isn’t from MFOR but what finally sold me on the fact he’s the right guy for the job.

Anyway, now thats out in the open I guess its time to nip off and tally up todays entries into the Top 100 - which mega thanks to everyone who has sent their lists in so far is going swimmingly. Cheers and keep ‘em rolling in.

Yeah, I haven’t stopped in a fortnight - trying to get as much done as I can because I’ll likely be out the game for a while in August with stuff being done on the house. ( God, that sounds posh doesn’t it? Trust me, its not - the place is falling apart :s ).

    All fun! :/

    Bob,

LOVE parodius, so this is good news.

PS: Just wondering why you’d go “vertical” rather than horiz?
