And that’s a wrap! With one Bundle over it’s time to temporarily shuffle over elsewhere for a few days or so. Whilst I find the time to ready the next chapter in Rob Makes Videogames: The Life, Death Ray Manta has found itself a home in The Bagfull Of Wrong. The page is a bit rougher and readier than I’d wanted because, well, because of THE NEXT CHAPTER but hey ho, it serves its purpose for now. I was hoping to go bundle/break/newthing but with Death Ray Manta sitting in the Eurogamer Expo, it seemed like a ridiculous time to not have the game on sale really.
Which means that as promised, anyone who’s ever thrown money my way for BFOW in the past can just duck in and grab the game along with the rest of their goodies. Huzzah! Free and tasty DRM! Any new folks over the next few days can grab Death Ray Manta AND all my previous stuff from £3.99 and up. And anyone who fancies chucking a few more quid into the pot for me is more than welcome to if they fancy it or feel that they’ve underpaid or whatever.
Wait! Haven’t you just done a bundle, Mr Bob? Shouldn’t you be loaded? Yes! I did. And, well, it’ll cover the costs of stuff I bought in for Death Ray Manta and maybe a twix too so the golden hats will have to wait a bit longer. Luckily, I wasn’t counting on the bundle to survive and despite the amount of purchases being on the low side there’s been a fairly great reaction to DRM as a game so that’s all good. Best of all, the indie grant closed somewhere in the $500 department so that’s a slight but nice haul for someone to give them a leg up.
So yeah, the only real downside is that I’m going to have to hold off a while on looking at iOS ports (and new iOS things) for a while longer until I raise a bit more cash for licenses and a newer Mac but given I’ve already got plenty of things to be going on with involving DRM until the end of the year, no biggy! I’m happy with things, all told.
